There's only one way and I've done it and so have many others...get a car and driver and simply get into the villages, stop and talk to people, in the areas you mentioned the hospitality is second to none. Soon you'll find yourself being invited into their homes and the entire journey becomes unforgettable. Their are some points of etiquette that one must observe when visiting someone's home and you can find these pointers on our "travel tips" section on my home page.

: I'm visiting Lviv (and hopefully Kamyanets-Podilsky, and possibly Chernivsti or Ivano-Frankivsk). I'd like to visit some nearby villages/small towns to get an impression of what life is like in Ukraine beyond the city. Any suggestions on short trips from Lviv or the other towns mentioned above?
