You will indeed require a valid visa. To secure one you must have completed an official visa application form and along with this you are required to send your passport, 2 passport type photo's and the required fee ($75.00) for a single entry visa to the Ukraine Embassy neaest you.
Be sure it is sent by courier and please enclose a pre-paid, self addressed return courier envelope. You need no other documents.
