My wife and I have used "Meest" via one of their designated agents on at least ten occasions, without the recipient having to pay any charges or fees beyond our initial cost. I once used the US Postal Service, and my recipient had to pay huge fees (bribes) to pick up the Pkg. at the official Ukr. post office. Never again. Use only those "niche" services, which are very reliable.
: I sent a package to Chernivtsi from US 3 days ago via Fed Ex postage paid. Today a someone called my wifes family from Kiev to say they wanted $15US for customs charges for a package worth $25US. Can anyone tell me if this is legitimate charge or is it a way for someone to make money. If it is not legitimate charge, what can her family do to receive the package without a problem/charge.
