People in all third world countries, lack the ethics and honesty of American restaurants/cafe. They are there to make money of innocent foreigners. They do not care if you are a satisfied customer or not. These are economically backward countries and people are hungry for American dollars. I have visited several of them and have always been very disgruntled at the unjust practices of these people. Mick, you will always get the correct price when you are with a local of that country. This not only applies to Yalta, but to all cities in all those third world countries. Sometimes it is better to cook your own meal in an apartment and eat outside once in a while to avoid all the aggravation. Also the kitchens of these cafes/restaurants are not clean. You definitely would not be pleased to see the unhygienic conditions. The lesser said the better.
This should be an eye opener for your future trips.
