: Take the train; but regardless of what "Emil" says, be prepared for a train ride unlike anything you've experienced before, if you're used to Western style trains. Ukr. trains consist of soviet era coaches, many from the 50's, and they are hard sprung, noisy and the toilet down the aisle will make you reel! I took two overnight Ukr. trains this summer, and, while I am glad for the experience, do not plan to get any sleep! You'll arrive like a zombie! And, unless you're prepared to sleep with strangers in a space so small that your face is 24 inches from another person (of either sex) buy all the berths in the 1st. or 2nd. class cabins. (Unless you have no cares about modesty.) Don't even consider 3rd. class, unless you are writing a travel book.

First, I'll have to tell you, that the train from Kiev to Warsaw is an *INTERNATIONAL TRAIN* - the early morning train from Kiev to Warsaw is classified as a *firmenny train*, which means, that the cars must be less than 10 years old, or upgraded within the last 10 yrs.

And I don't understand you!

Russian and Ukrainian 2nd. class sleeping cars are some of the most comfortable trains I've ever taken - the beds are relatively comfortable. There's also much more space in a Ukrainian sleeping compartment than in a normal Western compartment.

I would arrive like a zombie if I took the plane!
