What my Ukrainian wife need to travel to Kiev

Hello All,

I am married to a woman from Kiev for over a year now. She got her green card and we have been talking about going back to Kiev for next New Year and Christmas. I know what I need, but question what she is required to do to enter Ukraine and be able to leave again. Someone told me she would need a re-entry stamp in her passport or they would not let her leave the Ukraine upon return. I just called the Ukrainian Consulate in New York and she told my wife things always change and it is best when it is closer for us to go to Kiev to contact them again. I am wondering if any people have family members or know someone who lives in the US and travled to Kiev were there any kind of documents required to be able to return to the US or did they just come and go without problems? I would very much appreciate any help.
