Hi, I'm taking my autistic son to a dolphin therapy session near Sevastopol this July and would appreciate any advice about easy (and cheapish) flights/trains from London or Warsaw to Simferopol and about off the beaten track type of places to visit in Crimea. Yalta sounds great but have any of you found anything just as good, or better? Ta. Damian
: They are a short drive away from one another - and you would be well-advised to take in both cities if you are in the region.
: Yalta, of course, was home to the famous Yalta Conference following WWII and the site of an historic meeting between Churchill, Stalin, and Roosevelt. There are many other historic and famous sites in, and around, the Yalta area.

: : Hello Jon, thanks for your comments, Kiev is a wonderful, beautiful city, but a little to big and to expensive for me. But, Yalta on the other hand, sounds real intriguing, something to look into. Have you been there, are there things to do? Thanks for your input
