: Dan is correct about the business visa. It can be issued from six months to three years. In my case, I had a business invitation letter(written on June 5, 2002) from a Ukranian company in Odessa. The Ukranian Consulate in New York only issued me a business visa for six months, from june 11-December 2002, with only one entry into the Ukraine.

Unless they made a mistake, my visa is not a business visa. At least that is not what I asked for. My comment regarded a personal visa being issued for only six months when my visa is for a year. Hope this clarifies my comments.
