My first trip to Ukraine in 1996, I went through the Borispol customs. If a person didn't have a movie camera or/and less than $1000., they could go through the green line. There, I claimed only my ring, wristwatch and the amount of Canadian and American money. No questions asked. When I was leaving Ukraine back to Canada through Lviv customs, I never had on me the customs slip from Borispol (they failed to give me a copy),they just waved me through without any hassel. I'm sure that I wouldn't be able to get away with it now.

: Hi
: Is there a real difference between green and red line at the customs in Borispol?
: I went to Ukraine two times, everytime I went through the green line. Although I filled up my custom declaration form, the customs officiers didn't really care about it, when entering and leaving Ukraine !!!
: What should normally happen at green and red lines? Is there a real bagage (and customs declaration form) check through red line ?
