: Most major airlines including many from nations other than the USA, fly from NYC and Chicago to Kyiv. Check out Lot Polish airlines as they are usually less expensive. Also, they will most likely have a connecting flight through Warsaw which is a small, modern airport that's a piece of cake to get through.
