: Greetings,
: Does anyone know what is the best train(s) to ride from Kiev to Warsaw, and then back? How much does it cost for a first class ticket? Does anyone know how I can make reservations? Is there a company website that I can look at to find more information? And finally, what precautions or information can I take so that my trip is comfortable?
: Thank you,

If I recall correctly there's only one train from Kiev to Warsaw (and back). It runs daily. I remember it being pretty slow and plus they stop at the border to actually change the wheels. Because the tracks are wider in Ukraine then they are in western europe. I don't remember the train number, but there's a schedule somewhere on the Internet where you can look it up. First class is called SV. It has 2 beds, not the regular 4. To make the trip cofortable book both beds. The tickets are not expensive at all. I am pretty sure there's no way you can book a ticket through the Internet. You can get the ticket in Kiev a couple of days before the train departure. If you wait too long you will not get a ticket. Umm if you look through the old messages on this board I am sure you will find many suggestions on what to do as a precaution. Basically lock the door when you are asleep. Don't leave anything of value where people can find it when you are not there or even when you are there. Umm.. bring stuff to eat. That's about all I can think of.
