It is forbidden to export caviar in big quantities from Russia under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of wild flora and fauna (Cites), and sturgeon caviar can only be exported with special permission from the Cites agency.
Does somebody know which rules apply in Ukraine for the export of (Russian) caviar? I was once ticked off at Odessa airport but they let me pass with two tins of caviar.
