REGISTRATION IN UKRAINE
Holders of a BUSINESS or a PRIVATE VISA, excluding children under 16, crew members, transit visa holders and visitors staying less [sic?] than three days, are required to have their sponsors register their travel documents within 72 hours of arrival at the appropriate institutions which should be known to the sponsors. The registration requirement is automatically met for holders of a TOURIST VISA with their registration in hotels.
---------------------
A hotel can be a sponsor, but then you would probably have a tourist visa not a private one. Whether or not hotels will follow the policy and restrict themselves to registering only tourist visas is another matter.
The relevant link is given below.
: I had assumed that a private or business invitation visa could be registered by a hotel, the same as a tourist visa. But, Someone on RWL claims otherwise. Must it only be registered at VVIR by the inviting party?
