David,
I agree with you, I ussaly print out all the info I find on the websites and take it with me. What can I sugest is www.world66.com /link below/, and few UA info links I found out on this board. Guidebooks like LP or Pascal have lack of informations.
I still think that planning trip using this board is a good idea. After my last 2 posts I got lots of responds that were very helpful.
Have a nice trip Larry!... and David I wish you more faith in ecommunity;)

: Thank you for your suggestion. However, I find it somewhat difficult and expensive to lug a computer around with me as I travel about Ukraine. Going on line every time I have question about what restaurant I should try is not going to work too well. Also, in case you haven't seen the Lonely Planet, I think that it is very well organized and the advise offered is usually more complete and objective than much of what I have found here. Indeed, it seems to me that the average post on this board is less than 100 poorly organized and typed words and there is at least one weekly cat fight full of personal attacks. (For example, see messages 9192, 8885, and just do a search for "Handy Andy")
: This board is great for some things. E.g., the advice on getting cheap airline tickets is helpful (see 8005) and just about anything Natasha and Dan say is helpful. But I think it does not come anywhere close to replacing a good travel guidebook.
