Yes, there is no really good guidebook, and I'd really like to write one. Given a couple of months and 5 people it'd be easy to write a better one than LP's. The new LP is worse, if anything than the old one, which was at least written by intelligent and fun authors. It's more up to date but even more staid of thought and wearisome in its writing. You'd think that given the recent publication of books on Georgia, Azerbaijan and other byvshyy-CCCP states, it'd be possible to publish one on Ukraine. If anyone's got ideas, get in touch.
